AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector is a fast-dissolving chemical that reduces chlorine consumption in pools by up to 50% by creating a barrier that protects and stabilises the chlorine from the sun’s violent UV rays. Additional benefits include its ability to ensure sanitiser work effectively and can be used in all both chlorine or salt pools and spas.
Enhance Chlorine Efficiency: Sunscreen extends the lifespan of chlorine, allowing it to continuously combat bacteria, algae, and other contaminants. This means you'll require less frequent chlorine additions, leading to cost savings and reduced chemical consumption.
Essential for outdoor pools and spas using chlorine /salt sanitiser systems.
Consistent Sanitisation: The protective barrier formed by Sunscreen ensures a consistent and steady release of chlorine into the water. This consistency helps prevent sudden drops in chlorine levels, minimising the risk of waterborne illnesses and maintaining a safer swimming environment.
Longer Maintenance Intervals: With the use of Sunscreen, pool maintenance schedules can become more manageable. You'll spend less time and effort adding chemicals to the water, freeing you up to enjoy your pool more.
Protection Against UV Degradation: The primary function of Sunscreen is to shield chlorine from the degrading effects of UV rays. This protection extends the effectiveness of chlorine, particularly in outdoor pools exposed to sunlight.
Fast dissolving: for easy addition to pool water.
500g per 10,000 Litres of pool water raises sunscreen levels by 50ppm. In pool maintenance, levels between 30 and 50ppm are ideal.
There is no added benefit of levels above 50ppm, however levels over 100ppm will cause a chlorine lock, meaning chlorine is ineffective.
Monitor Stabiliser Levels: Regularly test your pool water's cyanuric acid (stabiliser) levels using a reliable test kit. Aim to maintain the recommended range (usually 30-50 ppm for outdoor pools). Monitoring levels helps prevent over-stabilisation, which can reduce chlorine effectiveness.
Only use Sunscreen Tablets in an outdoor pool: the use of Sunscreen Tablets in indoor pools is not required as UV rays are not an issue for indoor pools.
Follow Manufacturer's Instructions: Adhere to the manufacturer's guidelines, this includes the number of tablets to add. Over dosing can lead to imbalanced water chemistry.
